Querétaro, Mexico — The BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with six public universities in Querétaro, Mexico to expand scholarly ties, facilitate academic cooperation, increase educational opportunities, and enrich the educational and research environment of institutions in both BC and Mexico.

Universidad Politécnica Santa Rosa Jáuregui, Universidad Tecnológica de Querétaro, Universidad Tecnológica de Corregidora, Universidad Politécnica de Querétaro, Universidad Tecnológica de San Juan del Río, and Universidad Aeronáutica en Querétaro form the Consortium of state universities.

BCCIE’s MOU deepens cooperation on several education objectives including joint research, teacher training, and faculty and student mobility already established between BC and Mexico.

The signing kicked off a BCCIE-organized mission to Mexico where BC post-secondary institutions are meeting with existing and potential partners to further develop institutional relationships. BCCIE acknowledges the invaluable support from the Federal Trade Commissioner Service in the ongoing development of BC and Mexico academic relations.
