Renewed BCCIE-Mexico Agreements Strengthen International Education Initiatives

Whistler, BC — The BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) and several education associations/institutions from Mexico renewed their commitment to international education cooperation at a signing ceremony today during BC International Education Week (BCIEW). The renewed agreements (two Memorandum of Understandings and one Joint Deceleration) deepen cooperation on a number of education objectives including joint research, teacher training, and faculty and student mobility between British Columbia and Mexico.

The following agreements were renewed between:
• BCCIE and the Mexican Association for International Education (AMPEI) – Signed by Randall Martin, BCCIE and Cesar Gutierrez Jurado, AMPEI
• BCCIE and the Institute for Development and Attention to Youth from GTO State, Mexico (JuventudEsGTO)  – Signed by Randall Martin, BCCIE and Antonio Navarro, (JuventudEsGTO)
• BCCIE and the Jalisco Consortium – Signed by Randall Martin, BCCIE and Leoncio Monjarás Wintergerst, Universidad Panamericana
