International Education update on India’s National Capital Region (NCR)

This update was compiled by BC's Education Marketing Manager under the auspices of BC's Trade and Investment Office in India. The primary objective of this update is to identify opportunities for BC institutions towards partnership and recruitment in India.

The National Capital Region (NCR) is a coordinated planning region centred upon the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) in India. It encompasses the entire NCT of Delhi and several districts surrounding it from the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Prominent cities of NCR include Delhi, Gurugram (formerly Gurgaon), Noida, Faridabad, Sonipat, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, and Meerut. The NCR has fast emerged as a hub of higher education with several post-secondary institutions located in this part of the country.

With an objective to explore opportunities for BC educational institutions, outreach was conducted in October to select institutions based in the cities of Gurgaon, Noida, and Greater Noida uncovering the below areas of interest with respective institutions.

The grid below details preliminary areas of interest and the contact person for these institutions.

Please contact Education Marketing Manager, Rohit Bansal rbansal@britishcolumbia.ca to forward the interest of any BC institutions to any of the Indian institutions that are indicated in the grid below.
