APAIE 2020 postponement

It is with great regret that APAIE, together with the support of Simon Fraser University, and BCCIE have decided to postpone APAIE 2020 until March 2021. This decision was taken after close monitoring of the rising global risk assessment by the World Health Organization. Although the risk of transmission of the Covid 19 virus is currently assessed as low in Canada, and enthusiasm for APAIE 2020 was high among the more than 2,500 people who have registered to attend, the global situation is changing every day in unpredictable ways.

We recognize the need to care for the health and welfare of our participants and of the host community. We are also cognisant of the travel restrictions that are being reviewed and extended on a daily basis, and that were impacting our colleagues’ ability to join us, particularly from across the Asia Pacific region.

The conference will be held in Vancouver in March 2021, and Mahidol University will now host APAIE 2022 in Bangkok. For more information, including FAQs, please visit APAIE2020.org.

BCCIE’s Summer Conference as well as the Global Internship Conference is scheduled to go ahead June 9-12, 2020 in Vancouver. We encourage delegates to join us, and we look forward to seeing you in June.
