The Province of British Columbia’s Ministry of Education is providing scholarship awards to promote the recruitment of French language and French immersion teachers to B.C. The two scholarships are as follows:

Visiting French Teacher Training Scholarships

• There are five (5) awards of $3,000 each for prospective teachers from France or Belgium studying in a qualifying Teacher Education Program at a B.C. post-secondary institution.

Visiting French Teacher Placement Scholarships

• There are ten (10) awards of $1,250 each for teachers from France or Belgium who have been accepted to teach in a B.C. school district or independent school. These awards are intended for assisting with placement costs for visiting French teachers.
