UMAP Discovery Camp 2019
Thirty university students from University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) Consortium member countries will have an opportunity to travel to Taiwan this summer to take part in UMAP’s 2019 Discovery Camp.
Organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, UMAP Taiwan National Secretariat, and Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, the camp fulfills UMAP’s mission of enhancing international understanding by boosting student mobility between UMAP member countries.
UMAP Discovery Camp 2019 aims to encourage students to be socially aware, active global citizens through engagement and participation in discovery camp activities and offers students the chance to learn about the culture, environment, and society of Taiwan.
The camp will take place August 4 to 17. The deadline for UMAP member institutions to nominate students is April 30, 2019.

UMAP provides Canadian post-secondary institutions with an opportunity to connect their students with colleges and universities in 35 countries in Asia and the Pacific region for study abroad opportunities.
These programs include the traditional semester-long, short term (one month or less), and summer programs. Participating schools can choose the programs they would like to promote, which are tuition-waiver or charge-for-service programs. There is no cost to Canadian institutions to participate.
Canadian institutions interested in signing up for UMAP can contact BCCIE at umap@bccie.bc.ca.
