BCCIE signs MOU with University Colleges Denmark
BCCIE is pleased to announce a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) established with University Colleges Denmark, a consortium of nine educational institutions. The MOU was initiated by VIA University College and carried through by VIA for and on behalf of University Colleges Denmark.
BCCIE Executive Director Dr. Randall Martin met with VIA University Colleges President Harald Mikkelsen in Aarhus, Denmark last week to formalize the MOU. The agreement stemmed in part from a Fall 2015 visit by VIA faculty to BC and continued collaboration between the two partners since 2013.
VIA has been pursuing a comprehensive approach to partnerships in BC and has already established a number of key bilateral relationships with institutions such as Thompson Rivers University, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and others. Negotiations are underway with a number of other institutions that involve student and faculty exchange and the potential for work experience through internships or co-op placements at the partner.
"The new MOU with BCCIE will function as a platform for a greater diversity and breadth of bilateral program options," says Dr. Martin.
