China Scholarship Council implements the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program to train global governance talents with a broad international perspective, superior comprehensive quality, outstanding leadership and multicultural background. It offers 200 scholarships for master’s students, taught in English. The duration of the curriculum is 12 months. Some programs adopt a ‘1+1’ model, in which students spend the first academic year completing full-time foundational coursework and research at Chinese universities, followed by a year focused on dissertation preparation.

Application requirements:

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and under 45 years of age.
• Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of three years of work experience.

Preference is given to government officials, senior managers, university administrators, and those with international organization experience.
