Vietnamese Education Agent K-12 Mini-fair
This event is co-hosted by BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) and The Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City.
Introduction
Vietnam is an agent-driven market with agents providing services to 80% of outbound Vietnamese students. The market continues to grow in importance to Canada and British Columbia, with almost 5,000 Vietnamese students studying in Canada in 2015. To maintain interest and build on positive developments, a group of 10 leading agents in Vietnam will visit BC in early November. In cooperation with the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City, BCCIE is organizing a K-12 mini-fair on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
We invite you to engage with this group of influential agents and the federal Trade Commissioner Service in support of federal, provincial and your respective international marketing efforts. The event will serve as an excellent opportunity to meet and network with a strong team of education agencies at work in Vietnam. In addition, our colleague from the Consulate General of Canada will be in attendance to share market intelligence, resources and support afforded to the International Education sector.
The event will focus on promoting education in Canada, in particular, British Columbia, and delivering market intelligence to new and existing Canadian clients. Agents upon return to Vietnam will work to promote Canada as a study destination within their own organizations.
Objectives:
- To help key Vietnamese agents become familiar with the high quality of education at public school districts and independent schools in BC.
- To provide opportunities to meet with leading Vietnamese education agents
- To strengthen existing relationships and to develop new ones
Time & date: 8:30 – 11:30am, November 2, 2016
Targeted institutions: BC public school districts and recognized independent K-12 schools
Selection: In an effort to maximize interaction between the agents, districts and schools, the number of districts and schools will be limited to a total of 10. Institutions will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis and we will aim to offer a balance of public school district and independent school participation.
Venue set-up: Each institution will be provided with a table and chairs. Institutions are encouraged to bring promotional materials to display and distribute during the event.
