Team BC China Mission
Target audience: K-12 schools and districts, EQA-designated post-secondary institutions and language schools
Deadline: Expression of interest for participating in BC Value-Added Events and BC Branding at Fairs: August 31, 2017
Introduction
In support, BCCIE will help coordinate Team BC China Mission during and on the margins of Canada’s branded Pavilions at various locales during the 2017 China Education Expo (CEE) from October 21–29, 2017. This year, Canada will be featured as the Country of Honor, which was announced during the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s official visit to Canada in 2016. Approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education and organised by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), the CEE is the largest event dedicated to international student recruitment in China. Global Affairs Canada has been hosting EduCanada Pavilions at the CEE since 2008 and has built excellent brand recognition for Canada.
With support from the Provincial Government, BCCIE will be offering a range of value-added events on the margins of the CEE and while coordinating a branded BC presence in the Canada Pavilions in Beijing. BC districts, schools and institutions will continue to be part of the Canada Pavilion but those who choose to be a part of Team BC will be located in one area of the Canada Pavilion, and we will be using BC-specific branding of Team BC booths to complement the EduCanada Brand with the objective of raising BC’s profile. We will also be distributing BC education collateral in addition to messaging out on China social media platforms via StudyinBC.com, on Weibo and WeChat.

*BC events will vary for each location but may include agent meetings, receptions and orientation, site visits and partnership development meetings and networking. There is no additional charge to participate in these initiatives but BC institutions must confirm their attendance for all registered events.
As an incentive to join Team BC, your participation will grant you entrance and invitations for guests, agents, partners and friends of BC to the Team BC receptions in select cities, as well as to school and partner visits and roundtables as interest allows. We also anticipate the presence of senior colleagues and members of the provincial government to be on hand at some events and fair sites.
