Webinar—Leading Short-Term Programs Abroad: Preparing for the Unexpected
Leading a short-term program abroad can require quick judgment when things do not go as planned, whether that means a lost passport, illness or injury, student conduct issues, or another unexpected challenge. This interactive session will explore some of the issues that can arise while overseeing students abroad, with practitioner perspectives grounding the discussion in real examples and practical lessons learned.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their own experiences, ask questions, and learn from how others have handled similar situations. This session is intended for professionals involved in planning, coordinating, or leading short-term outbound programs who are looking to build confidence and learn from colleagues across the sector.
Please note this session will not be recorded and the use of AI Notetakers is strictly prohibited. BCCIE reserves the right to remove AI Notetakers during this session. If you need to bring one for language or other assistive purposes, please email events@bccie.bc.ca.
