Webinar: IRCC & BC PNP Winter Update 2024
This session has been approved for 1.5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
BCCIE is pleased to invite our international education colleagues to a webinar session presented by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). This webinar will help educate attendees regarding program information and recent updates to the federal and provincial immigration programs. The presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session with provincial and federal government staff who have program expertise.
BC PNP representatives will provide an explanation of the BC Provincial Nominee Program immigration program criteria and processes. They will also provide an update on Construction Occupation Prioritization. IRCC representatives will provide information on federal immigration programs and updates on the new financial requirements for students, letter of acceptance verification, the waiver on work hours off-campus, and distance learning facilitation measures.
BCCIE encourages attendees to submit questions prior to the webinar via the Zoom registration form below. This will help ensure that the information presented meets your needs. Please note that the speakers will be unable to address case-specific enquiries, or questions about future special measures that have not yet been announced. The information in the presentation will be up to date as of February 21st, 2024. For further updates on immigration and policies, please visit the IRCC and BC PNP websites. This presentation will be recorded, with the exclusion of the Q&A portion.
