Ecctis: Education Systems of India and Pakistan
Overview
This session will give an overview of the structure of the Indian and Pakistani education systems with a focus on entry to tertiary studies, higher education and accreditation as well as recent developments and changes. The Standard X and Standard XII secondary examinations will be a key focus for India, as well as looking at different comparisons which we provide for Indian Bachelor degrees and other postgraduate qualifications. For Pakistan, there will be a focus on the Higher Secondary School Certificate, as well as two, three, and four year Bachelor degrees.
It includes practical guidelines on the interpretation and understanding of educational documentation from these countries.
This will be a highly interactive session and will last 3 hours.
Objectives
The key objectives of the training are to:
• Achieve an understanding of the structure of the Indian and Pakistani education systems including secondary and higher education
• Provide a greater comprehension of the Indian and Pakistani education systems and discuss the key problems which arise when assessing their qualifications
• Develop the ability to identify and classify qualifications within the extensive range of awards available within each sector of these education systems.

Note: There will be practical exercises on the day. Please bring a pen and notebook or paper and a laptop (rather than a tablet or phone).
The standard cost to attend this training session is £245 for members and £295 for non-members.
