Webinar | Considering Socially Just and Equitable Practices from Assessment Planning to Implementation
Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is defined as both a process and a goal that includes the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to create learning environments that foster equitable participation of all groups. It also seeks to address issues of accessibility, equity and inclusion, oppression, privilege, and power. It is with this critical lens student affairs professionals need to think about assessment practices, and the various methodologies used to collect data. One of the ways we can do this is by being cognizant of the biases we bring and how the assessment process itself impacts students, to ensure that EDI is considered from planning stages to implementation.
