Melissa Torres – President and CEO, The Forum on Education Abroad
Prior to her work at The Forum, Melissa Torres led international programs for The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, where she founded international internship and global consulting opportunities for undergraduate and MBA students. Melissa’s experience includes developing employer relations in Brazil, Costa Rica, Germany, Honk Kong, and the United States. As VP for Academics at IES Abroad, Melissa led the creation and implementation of credit-bearing internships at 10 IES Abroad Centers.
Kate Moore, Ed.D. – Principal and Founder, Global Career Center
Dr. Kate Moore has dedicated her career to connecting campuses, communities, and companies across the globe. She is an expert and thought leader in the world of international internships and the field of education abroad more broadly. Her leadership positions include NAFSA Education Abroad’s Knowledge Community and WIVRA (Work, Internship, Volunteer and Research Abroad) Subcommittee, the New England Association of Cooperative Education and Field Experience, and chair of The Forum’s Internship Taskforce. Dr. Moore is the author of “Internships, Service Learning, and Research Abroad”.
Sara M. Easler, Ph.D. – Assistant Dean, International Programs & Partnerships, Haslam College of Business, The University of Tennessee
Sara Easler, Ph.D., is the Assistant Dean of International Programs & Partnerships for The University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business, responsible for the development of international strategy, relationships and identifying international education opportunities for students. She manages the IPSA unit as part of the Center for Student Engagement & Success, serving as a resource for students, faculty and staff.
Easler joined Haslam from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in Fall 2016. She holds a master of education and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of South Carolina. Easler’s research focuses on the areas of litigation risk, equity, and access in international education. Her dissertation explored the extraterritoriality of U.S. federal law in international education.
