While Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are more established markets, Danang is a newer market for many institutions with potential worthy of exploration and where Canada needs to build its education brand. Canadian institutions should therefore manage their expectation in Danang.
Currently, some 5,000 Vietnamese students are studying at institutions across Canada, making Vietnam ranked 1st in South East Asia and 11th worldwide for sending international students to Canada. Every year, more than 1,300 Vietnamese students get their study permits to study and do research in Canada. Increasingly, Vietnamese students are shifting their interest to Canada as a study destination offering competitive costs and a safe environment.
Last year, 78 Canadian institutions participated in the 7th Annual Canada Education Fairs 2015 in Vietnam, showing the continued interest of Canadian institutions in the Vietnamese market. The recruitment fairs attracted over 3,600 interested visitors over two days. A total of 863 one-on-one meetings between institutions and 84 education agents took place over the course of the two agent workshops.
The Annual Canada Education Fairs continue to be an important tool in branding Canada as the destination of choice for Vietnamese students looking to study abroad. It is now also one of the largest education fairs organized by the Canadian government worldwide.
Registration Deadline: Friday, August 12, 2016. Please note that we may reach capacity before registration deadline.

Notes:
Canadian institutions are reminded that the fairs should not be the only means to recruit students. Other marketing activities should be considered as well to achieve objectives.

Further to the Brand Use Eligibility Policy jointly established by the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), K-12 schools, post-secondary education institutions and language schools are invited to consult the provincial lists of eligible institutions on the Brand extranet at http://www.imagine.cmec.ca/en/institutions/
If the institution is on the list, it is eligible to participate in the event. If it is not on the list, it is not eligible to participate unless there is clear and written consent of the province/territory where the institution is located.
Private schools authorized to use the curriculum of a province/territory outside of Canada are eligible to participate in the event as sponsors, but will be positioned separately (in a non-branded area).
Banks, airlines and insurance companies offering services to students may participate as sponsors and will be situated in the non-branded area.
Education or immigration agents are not eligible to participate in the event, with the sole exception of agents designated by an eligible institution. In that case, agents are responsible to the institution that engaged their services and must adhere to all event guidelines and agent policy.
