BCCIE invites you to participate in an informative presentation delivered by the Chinese Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) on Thursday, September 28 at SFU Harbour Centre, Downtown Vancouver.
About CSCSE
Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) is a public organization under Ministry of Education (MOE) of the P.R. of China. CSCSE mainly engages in international education services and supports students who are pursuing international exchanges and cooperation. CSCSE specializes in offering professional services for international scholarly exchanges, including Chinese students and scholars studying abroad, returnees from overseas, and international students and scholars coming to study in China. CSCSE is dedicated to improving the capacity building of Chinese higher education institutions, and introducing best practices and education resources through international dialogues and collaborations.
Content
Throughout the presentation, CSCSE representative will introduce the following:
• Study Abroad Training Center Program (SATC)
Study Abroad Training Center (SATC) Program is an international cooperation program set up by CSCSE in 2007 to meet diversified needs of Chinese students who want to study abroad. 42 SATC partnership have been established with Chinese universities. Graduates from high schools and universities will take language and pre-departure training as well as preparatory and foundation course before study overseas. As of today, the number of SATC students has reached over 26,700, 3,700 of which were enrolled in the year of 2017.
• China STudy Abroad Forum (CSAF)
CSAF is a one-day event with a plenary session in the morning and a series of parallel workshops in the afternoon. Discussions will be carried out on institutional cooperative approaches that contribute to successful study abroad experiences and, in turn, how Sino-foreign joint efforts could facilitate and catalyze the higher education reform and internationalization process in China. The forum, an essential part of China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET), aims to provide a valuable networking opportunity for specialists in international education and international higher education cooperation. The China Study Abroad Forum 2018 will take place on 23th March 2018 in Beijing.
• China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET)
CIEET, one of the largest education fair approved by the Ministry of Education, has been hosted for 18 years in over 20 major cities of China. Since 1999, there were more than 2,000 universities and institutions from 55 countries and regions that joined the exhibition and showcased their educational opportunities to over 1 million Chinese students and parents. In the year of 2018, CIEET will be held in Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Shanghai and Guangzhou from March 24 – April 1, 2018. A series of new changes on the fair including a newly designed website, special-tailored service , targeted visitors, and a variety of supporting activities etc. will promise an exciting opportunity for your organization to explore the Chinese market.
• Foreign Academic Qualification Accreditation (FAQA)
CSCSE serves overseas academic qualification holders to provide accreditation services towards the qualifications received overseas. CSCSE is the only authorized accreditation organization by the Chinese MOE. FAQA is recommended to Chinese students by the MOE for public recognition and future employment purposes.
