International Development and Diplomacy Internship Programme now accepting applications

Are you flexible, adaptable and comfortable in challenging situations? Can you see yourself working in a UN office promoting human rights, the rule of law, and sustainable development?
For nearly two decades, the United Nations Association in Canada (UNA-Canada) has matched hundreds of qualified Canadians with UN agencies worldwide through the International Development and Diplomacy Internship Programme (IDDIP).
The programme provides a unique avenue for qualified and motivated Canadian graduates and professionals to participate in the United Nations system as Junior Professional Consultants (JPCs). Successful applicants are provided with invaluable work experience, with 98% of alumni finding meaningful employment in their field of expertise within six-months of completing the IDDIP.
UNA-Canada’s JPCs are given the opportunity to further develop their skills while living and working alongside others from around the globe, sharing knowledge and views, deploying their highly recognized and valued cross-cultural sense of understanding and empathy.
Currently, the IDDIP recruits, prepares, and supports applicants throughout their placement in one of the following countries:
