2nd Edu-Canada Undergraduate Education Outreach to East and Northeast India
About the Event
The Undergraduate East and Northeast Education Outreach Tour 2015 is the second joint initiative of the Government of Canada Trade Commissioner Service/ Edu-Canada and the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC), concentrated on promoting Canada as an education destination for undergraduate studies in the untapped East and Northeast India markets.

Participation Details
- Sessions will take place in local institutions, with a view to bringing several cohorts of students together in one venue. The focus will be on Class XI and XII students
- Evening session with local education influencers in Kolkata
- Media interview opportunities (TBC)
- Institutions must cover their own airfare, hotel, per diem and incidental expenses; recommended flight schedule and special hotel rate to be provided
- NB: If there is sufficient interest, introductions will be made to institutions in Darjeeling for those who wish to continue on their own in the region.
Schedule
Guwahati:
- November 15 (evening start); 16 – 17: School visits and flight to Kolkata (pm)
Kolkata:
- November 18: School visits and evening session with influencers
- November 19: School visits and end of Tour
Participation Fee
In Canadian Dollars (CAD): $ 1200.00
The participation fee covers two days in each city; institutions are expected to participate in both cities.
