Dr. Randall Martin to Step Down After 20 Years as Executive Director at BCCIE

Vancouver, BC — After 20 years of dedicated leadership at the BC Council for International Education (BCCIE), Dr. Randall Martin will be retiring from his position as Executive Director.

Since 2006, Randall has led BCCIE in advancing the Province of British Columbia’s agenda on international education. His experience spans more than 30 years in post-secondary education, development education, project management, and implementation.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Randall for his remarkable leadership and dedication over the past 20 years. He has been a trusted and respected voice in international education, and his ability to bring people together across institutions, sectors, and borders has left a lasting mark on BCCIE and the broader community. We are deeply grateful for his contributions,” said Ajay Patel, Interim Board Chair.

BCCIE and its Board of Directors will now begin a succession planning process for the Executive Director position. A search will be underway. Further details, including the position description, posting timeline, and anticipated start date will be shared in due course.

Randall will remain as Executive Director until a successor is appointed and will assist in the transition.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Randall for his leadership and contributions to BCCIE and to the international education sector in BC.
