BCIT Course: International Education Trends Past and Present
Are you a new practitioner in international education? Or know someone who is at the beginning stages of their career and would like to learn more about the field? BCIT is running an International Education Practitioner-Foundation (IEP) Microcredential Program, and one of the online courses, International Education Trends Past and Present, starts on September 19.
This course will prepare professionals to understand core functions and concepts of the history and development of modern international education. Policies and trends in the internationalization of higher education in recent decades will be reviewed, and critiques of the field will be explored. This course will provide foundational knowledge for those interested in employment in the field and a pre-requisite for recent practitioners pursuing professional development. An emphasis will be placed on the Canadian context.
The course runs every Tuesday for five weeks with a commitment of three-five hours per week. It costs $86.95 (domestic tuition) and $260.85 (international tuition). Applications are open until the end of day on September 15!
