BCCIE and VACC Joint International Education Conference 2019

BCCIE in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC) will co-host a conference January 17–18, 2019 in Huế, Vietnam. 

The Next Generation of International Academic Partnerships: Colleges in Vietnam, British Columbia and Canada

The conference will focus on comprehensive partnership development and mentorship opportunities between VACC members and BC and Canadian partners. Sub-themes will include topics such as the following:

• Quality Assurance Frameworks
• Institutional Mentorship and the Sharing of Best Practices
• Articulation Agreements, Joint Programming, Pathways, and Transfer Credit
• Models for Reciprocal Student Mobility and Recruitment
• Staff and Faculty Mobility
• Educational and Administration Leadership

PROGRAM

The language of the conference is English, with VACC assuming responsibility for the translation of provided PowerPoint presentations and where required for the provision of simultaneous translation. Each presentation will allow for a Q&A period. You can find the 2019 conference program here.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Vietnam-Canada Institutional Partnership Initiative will launch at this conference. It will provide a platform for attending BC and Canadian institutions to partner with attending VACC institutions on a variety of fronts, including pathway and joint programming opportunities. The focus will be on sustainability and transferability of knowledge, skills and opportunities for collaboration. Advance institutional ‘matching’ will facilitate networking and partnership possibilities.
