Webinar | Education Market Briefing: China
With a population exceeding 1.37 billion, China represents approximately 20% of the global population. Throughout the years, China has been a primary market for international students coming to British Columbia.
Join our webinar to learn about the new additions to the recruitment of students coming from China and how to engage with newly announced partnership opportunities.
In support of BC’s International Education sector, BCCIE is pleased to announce a coordinated Team BC China Mission, taking place from October 20 to 28, 2018. This initiative will take place in four cities throughout China including Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Shanghai and will be anchored around the 2018 China Education Expo (CEE) – the largest event dedicated to international student recruitment in China.
The Team BC China Mission will include the maintenance of existing institutional partnerships while forging new and innovative opportunities in this continually evolving region. The working itinerary includes attendance at EduCanada fairs, agent networking, partnership development visits, and other value-added activities. Discussion is also underway to include BC attendees in an offshore school mini recruitment fair in Beijing and a seminar in Shanghai focusing on advancing academic pathways within BC’s education sector.
During this webinar, attendees will:
- Be given a market overview, including where students live, what subjects they are interested in and where in the world they are looking to study
- Learn about recruitment and partnership opportunities with those newly announced Double First Class Universities
- Gain insight into the complex business for working with agents, including screening of agents, where to find reliable partners namely in 2nd and 3rd tier cities and how to select agents to work with
The session will be informative in nature and will provide attendees with the information needed to develop a long term marketing and recruitment strategy for China.
