The Engaging Diversity workshop is part of a four-day training that provides practical tools and approaches to build cultures of belonging as a foundational step to unleashing dormant talents and working effectively together to address complex social problems.

The training on Engaging Diversity – Convening Tools and Practices provides participants with our proven roadmap to engage diversity for their projects and programs. Here, leaders will learn about the pitfalls to avoid and a unique 5-step formula that has a track record of working with any demographic and generating high engagement.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Avoid key pitfalls when engaging diversity for social change
  • Describe a 5-step formula for engaging diversity
  • Name 3 keys for success
  • Create a convening plan
  • Articulate and practice their key messages in their invitation

Outcomes / Benefits:

  • By the end of this component, learners will have the knowledge and tools to build a quality convening team. They will generate their own convening plan, key messages and tools to increase participation and access to their programs and services, build a diverse client base, and strengthen relationships between their teams and the people they serve.
