EduCanada Virtual Fair – Philippines
Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) Manila’s annual EduCanada Fairs gained recognition and established the EduCanada brand in the Philippines in recent years. Local students and education stakeholders trust the EduCanada brand and appreciate the opportunity to meet quality Canadian institutions and learn about study permit processes from Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). TCS Manila is organizing its third virtual exhibit with the following activities to help Canadian institutions recruit quality students, and obtain market intelligence from TCS Manila and key stakeholders.
Pre-Event
- EduCanada Study Permit and Pre-Arrival Webinar and B2Bs with Education Agencies: September 16, 2021 evening Canada/September 17, 2021 morning Manila
Open to all Canadian institutions, guidance counsellors and education agencies, this event will provide an opportunity for IRCC and Canada Border Services Agency to deliver presentations on the Canadian study permit processes in the Philippines and a presentation on requirements for international students prior to entry into Canada. After the webinar, TCS Manila will facilitate pre-arranged business meetings between participating Canadian institutions and education agencies in the market.
- One-on-One Meetings with Trade Commissioner for Education
From October 18 to 22 (Manila), the Trade Commissioner for Education will meet individually with Canadian institutions upon request. These meetings will help TCS Manila provide relevant market intelligence to Canadian institutions and gain a better understanding of the needs and challenges of Canadian institutions.
Event Proper
- TCS Market Briefing (October 20 and 21, 2021 Canada/October 21 and 22, 2021 Manila): A thorough update to clients on recruitment and partnership opportunities in the Philippine market.
- IRCC Study Permit Briefing (October 20 and 21, 2021 Canada/October 21 and 22, 2021 Manila): IRCC’s briefing will update Canadian institutions on study permit processes applicable to Philippine-based students, and will provide a venue for IRCC to address their inquiries received prior the briefing. This will help IRCC understand the local student recruitment market, student profiles and obtain information from Canadian institutions on areas of concern that IRCC can take into consideration to further increase efficiencies in or improve study permit processes.
- EduCanada Fair Launch (October 23, 2021 Manila): TCS Manila will launch the education exhibit with the Ambassador’s opening remarks, an Education in Canada presentation, and IRCC’s study permit process presentation. The launch will include themed webinars to provide Canadian institutions an opportunity to pitch programs to potential students.
