Edu-Canada Tour of Southeast Europe
The Embassy of Canada in Belgrade in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Zagreb and in coordination with the Consulate General of Canada in Istanbul invites you to participate in the 2015 Southeast Europe Regional Education Tour, March 4-11, which will travel to 4 cities in 4 countries. The tour will allow Canadian institution representatives the opportunity to interact with potential students, parents, guidance counselors as well as educational agents and other education stakeholders from Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia and Kosovo. Depending on interest, there is also the possibility of extending the tour to Turkey. Activities will include market briefings, networking receptions and information sessions for visitors on study and research opportunities in Canada and study permit application procedures.
The Embassy in Belgrade is working with OIVIVIO, a local agency, in organizing the tour. OIVIVIO is also responsible for organizing the Belgrade EDUfair, the only third party event in the tour. Education events will begin in Zagreb (Croatia) on March 4, travel to Belgrade for the Belgrade EDUfair, March 6-7 and end with one-day Canada-only events in Skopje (Macedonia) and Pristina (Kosovo) from March 9 to 11.
The cost per participant for this all-inclusive tour is € 3,822 (CAN $5,733) with the possibility of up to 20% higher costs if less than 10 institutions sign up. If more than one representative registers from an institution, an additional cost of € 1,962 (CAN $2,943) will be assessed.
All hotel, meal and local transportation expenses are included in the registration cost. Participants are responsible for the cost of their air transport into Zagreb as the first destination and out of Skopje as the last destination on the tour. The Belgrade EDUfair will include a separate networking event aimed at regional education agents. The tour organizer is also able to assist with other regional transportation arrangements upon request in order to avoid costly open-jaw fares. Also, any modifications to the proposed itinerary are possible and will be treated on an individual basis.
The prices are guaranteed until the registration deadline of October 10, 2014.
OIVIVIO has also offered to assist in the coordination of a potential extension of the tour within the region in order to connect with the IEFT Spring Fairs in Turkey which are taking place from March 31 to April 10, 2015 in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Adana and Eshisehir. More details are available by contacting OIVIVIO as per contact details above.
