BC Study Abroad Roundtable 2015
Please join us for our second roundtable discussion on
Study Abroad in BC.
In 2014 BCCIE hosted a roundtable event where BC post-secondary Study Abroad educators came together to discuss best practices on Study Abroad. Since then, institutions have continually developed their own Study Abroad programming in various capacities. In addition, British Columbia Study Abroad (BCSA) has hosted numerous scholarships, attended Study Abroad Fairs on behalf of the BCSA Consortium institutions and improved the BCSA website which now includes student and educator facing landing pages.
Facilitator
Lian Dumouchel, Director, Global Engagement and Principal Lecturer, Tourism Management Department at Thompson Rivers University

Participants will have the opportunity to hear what others have been doing over the past year and a half to advance study abroad at their schools as well as participate in important dialogue on:
- Sharing best practices: what is working well in your office?
- What are the challenges?
- How can we work together to overcome some of these challenges?
- What can BCSA/BCCIE do to help you?

Join us at the Study and Go Abroad Fair!
Following the roundtable event we encourage all participants to stick around and visit the BCSA booth at the Study and Go Abroad Fair. Twice a year this event draws BC students considering studying abroad for a post-graduate degree, or looking to work, intern, volunteer or learn a language in another country. The Fair runs from 2-6 p.m. in the East Ballroom at the Vancouver Convention Centre (999 Canada Place). For free registration to this event please visit the Study and Go Abroad Fair website.
