Introduction
In support of BC’s International Education sector, BCCIE is pleased to announce a coordinated Team BC SE Asia Mission to the Philippines from January 22–25, 2016. This initiative follows a successful Team BC SE Asia Mission to Vietnam and Indonesia undertaken in October 2015. The Canadian Embassy is engaged at every stop and is encouraging and supportive of this BC initiative in one of our province’s target education markets.
Partners
BCCIE will be working closely with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in each city to offer valuable recruitment, partnership building and networking events for all educational sectors participating in the Team BC SE Asia Mission.
Key objectives
- To profile BC schools and institutions
- To raise awareness of BC’s quality education system and to increase opportunities for student recruitment in the Philippines
- To raise awareness of the great potential for education partnership, exchange, joint research, investment and recruitment between BC and the Philippines
- To offer value-added engagement in different cities through site visits, strategic partner introductions, information receptions and agent networking sessions
Proposed value-added events will include Canadian Pavilions, agent events, and institutional visits, education roundtables, receptions and orientation and partnership development meetings and networking. There is no additional charge to participate in these initiatives but BC institutions must RSVP for all events.
