Record number of BC participants attend China Education Expo

Canada is recognized as the Country of Honor this year at the China Education Expo (CEE) at all four stops (Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shanghai). We are pleased to report that a record number of Canadian participants (over 140) attended the Expo.

BCCIE participated in the CEE Beijing stop under the brand of StudyinBC together with over 30 BC exhibitors from both public and private K-12, PSE and language sectors.

Approximately 300 visitors visited the StudyinBC booth in two days. Staff from BCCIE and the BC Trade and Investment Office in Beijing helped to address parents' and students' questions about BC's education system, premium education quality and life in BC.

Accompanied by the education team from the Embassy, the Canadian Ambassador in China, the Honourable John McCallum, visited the StudyinBC booth.

BCCIE coordinated media interviews with BC participants conducted by China.com and Grok China to help to profile BC as among the best destinations for study abroad.
