Study in Canada scholarships program

Following the launch of the new International Education Strategy, Global Affairs Canada is introducing a new pilot Study in Canada Scholarships program that will help promote a dynamic and diversified international education sector in Canada.

The pilot Study in Canada Scholarships program commits $5 million over five years to increase opportunities for post-secondary institutions across Canada to welcome international students from around the world.

Beginning in the 2020/2021 school year, the Study in Canada Scholarships program will provide full academic scholarships (to a maximum award value of CAD $60,000/year) for international students from eligible countries/territories for up to two years of study at the post-secondary level leading to a diploma, post-secondary or post-graduate certificate, or Master’s degree.

Canadian universities, colleges, technical and vocational institutes across Canada will be eligible to apply for scholarships on behalf of students from recipient countries/territories, to showcase the excellence of their programs and to expand their institution’s international engagement and linkages. The program is open to students from all disciplines.
