Maple Leaf Mini Fairs (MLES) 2009/10
November 12 - 18, 2009
Introduction
The Maple Leaf Education System (MLES) is the largest independent school system in China and graduates thousands of BC-curriculum students each year. MLES schools are inspected annually by the BC Ministry of Education and have impressive plans for growth in the coming years.
BCCIE is partnering with MLES to coordinate a cohesive BC presence at this November’s MLES fairs in Dalian and Wuhan. BCCIE has arranged for BC institutions to be arranged in a central, geographic area and will work with participating institutions to ensure a branded, visible BC presence at both fairs.
In addition, BCCIE is working with MLES to provide additional value-added opportunities to institutions to profile the advantages of studying in BC. BCCIE will lead Study in BC sessions for MLES students in both Dalian and Wuhan for interested BC institutions, and has arranged for an official orientation to the Maple Leaf system and roundtable with administrators. BCCIE has also arranged for a one-day mini-fair at the MLES school in Tianjin following the Wuhan fair. This mini-fair will be open only to BC institutions.

Note that participants must register for fairs directly with Maple Leaf and also email Gustavo at gespinola@bccie.bc.ca to indicate your interest in joining the full Team BC Maple Leaf circuit (including the Tianjin mini-fair). While there is a cost involved in the Dalian and Wuhan fairs (paid directly to MLES), there is no additional cost to take part in other Maple Leaf events.
